Yes, of course. Must admit that I only applied for tickets out of curiosity and because the Games were only 45 miles away, not in any belief that they'd be any good. And when I saw what I got, my heart sank (Weightlifting? Hockey? Blimey!)
But it's been fantastic. It is brilliantly organised, surely the volunteer staff can't be British because they are so happy, helpful and enthusiastic, the security check points are so numerous that there are no queues longer than about three, and the venues are beautiful. And the enthusiasm of the crowds; never thought I'd see Sean Lock, who was cursing on the way in, enjoy weightlifting (or anything, come to that!); cheering the underdogs to the echo, and going wild at record breaking attempts, joining in though they evidently needed the explanation given in the literature with the ticket or in the speech before, really made the events.
