why dont manufacturers supply manuals with their computers any more. Hubby bought me a lap top for a present hubby knows nothing about them so bought what the staff at p c world recommended. when i took it out of box which had no information on it at all just the name. i couldnt find a manual anywere. I didnt know what the spec was or how to set it up or what was included on pc. i had to take it back to shop for them to explain everything, they told me the manual was on the set up disc and i had to set up comp before i could use it. now im not really thick but how does one set up something if they dont know how without the manual and the manual is on the set up disc.
Every laptop I've purchased (and I've purchased hundreds in my line of work) has a quick start guide which explains how to set it and tells you how to find the full user manual.
What is the make and number of the laptop. Perhaps you can find an 'on-line' manual by pumping info into the Computer which you have used to post herewith.
thank you for your answers but the point i was trying to make was. how does someone who knows nothing about computers or lap tops manage to set it up in the first place without a manual. my hubby cant even swithch one on. its like trying to drive a car without a lesson. i did manage but only after going to pc world and asking them.
