Makeover
8 Answers
I'd like to treat my Mum to a makeover for her birthday - I was thinking of some sort of consultation on what colours suit her best, and what clothes flatter her. Does anyone know of that kind of thing available in the North of England? When I google all I get are virtual makeovers, and I'm thinking more along the lines of a one to one session.

Colour me Beautiful have consultants all over the country I think. You used to be able to just have a colour consultation or one that covers clothes etc. You would be amazed how many people dress in colours that don't suit them. I used to myself until I went and had myself assessed. Anne Robinson is a classic example of someone who wears the wrong colour nearly all the time. With her skin tone she shouldn't be wearing black next to her face.
A few years ago I met a new neighbour who told me she was doing a colour therapy course and asked me to be her guinea pig (that`s what I thought she said).
I went for my first session and ended up face down on a bed in my undies while she waved her hands over me and chanted before bursting into tears.
Turned out she was studying something called Callistherapy and was ridding me of my anxieties.
I was more anxious and booked a hearing test when I left.
