I was looking at the freesat boxes in asda yesterday and realised that i am abit confused. they had set top boxes like i have with my small tv, and i know my samsung has built in freeview, but what were the other things they had, like freesat and something else that was a digital box?
we got Humax/Freesat and its really good for us, only paid one payment and they came and installed the dish etc and the controls are similar to Freeview so I was able to operate straight away.
If you already have a satellite dish you could plug in a freesat box.
However a better option is to go in the loft and dig out the Sky box.
You can run Freesat from Sky by using their box and an old Sky viewing card without paying a subscription.
If you don't have a card they will sell you one - I think for £25.
