Dear all, a friend recommended this site to me, to keep track of your food, and it calculates anticipated weight loss etc.
I started today - I wish I hadn't drunk that big bottle of chocolate milk this morning!
Have a look - it's useful - scary to see written down how much over my limit I consumed today..... :-(

At the moment I'm having a break from it as I find myself "using up" the calorie allowance in the evenings where as without it I can happily go without. I find myself thinking about nothing else when I use it, but when I don't I can manage to forget about food for a while! Also be careful of the sugar allowance. Its good to be reminded of the high sugar levels of things like squash, yoghurts and all manner of things which you might think are reasonably harmless, but for most of us, the natural sugar in fruit is fairly harmless yet myfitnesspal will tot it up and send you over your allowance if you eat more than a couple of pieces of fruit a day.

Thanks maidup - it's a useful tool and I think I'll see it as such, rather than a big stick. I used to use the SW write-it-down chart which was a bit horrifying, but this one works it all out for you (near enough). I'll give it a go. (Today's intake means I put weight on in five months, that's got to change!)
