Sibton...

Agreed, Johnny Cash is a legend and if you read the story behind him filming that video he was on deaths door when he recorded it, yet still made one of the best performances of his life (IMO)... Trent Reznor (who wrote the song) has said it's no longer his song, it's JC's song now.
The theme music to Band of Brothers.
For some reason, Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel gets me teary. And also 'Bridge over troubled water' and 'Your song'.

Another one is ' The drugs don't work' by The Verve.
June is actually in that video. I think it was just shortly after it that she passed away.

Let it Be by The Beatles always makes me blub. It doesn't hold any memories or anything. The songs just affects me somehow :-(

Thank You For The Music is another one. That was played at my teacher's funeral. She was a close friend of my mum as well and was like a second mum to me :-(
Miss you nights by Cliff Richard.
It reminds me of when my hubby was working away in Germany for several weeks.
Erin.. yes, June died a few months after that video, and JC died about 5 months after her.

It one of the only song videos that really does make me well up with tears every time I see it!
Trish has asked me to post this.

Thanks chuck and erin, 2003 seems like yesterday
No songs make me cry these days. Hurt by Cash however is by far the saddest song ever for me. Actually thinking about it, the version of nessun dorma tby he three tenors with Pavarotti makes me feel really emotional, but happy emotions, I just love that version of the song so much. (Not that I know any others. Or indeed if what they're singing about is even cheerful... I just like it!)
Don't know who suggested it for the '90 world cup but it was perfect, not what you'd normally associate with football, but it turned out to be spot on.

Anything by Jim Reeves makes me bubble, we played a CD of his when my dad was dying in ITU.
Barbara Dickson - Caravan - always takes me back to my father's funeral. "Moving out into the sun... and I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going.."
Daydream Believer by The Monkees... reminds me of a great friend who died xx I always cry if I hear it :o(
Gladys Knight Help me Make it Through the Night
Cliff Miss You Nights
You'll Never Walk Alone
again...hurt by jonny cash. it's such an emotive piece of work x
This song reminds me of the first man who broke my heart. I was 17 and he was married. I didn't know that at the time, when I found out I finished with him. Should I give his name, why not. He was from Scotland and his name was Ian Cromer. this was in 1969.

Not so much now but when I was young it was Harry Secombe singing "We'll keep a welcome in the hillside". It reminded me of an uncle killed in a road accident.
Also Auld Lang Syne. We always saw the New Year in as a family and one year my dad was working away and couldn't make it. I blubbed my eyes out and hated it for years afterwards.
seasons in the sun, Terry jacks,
my sentimental friend, hermans hermits
san francisco, scott mckenzie
massachusettes, bee gees
you'll never walk alone & without you, & jim reeves as above
Brown Eyed Girl.
Holding Back the Years.

Remind me of two wonderful dogs I've loved and lost.
Why does it always rain on me [from when it featured a few years back in 'William and Mary'. ] Don't remember who sung it but it was very moving at the time.
