i dont own one single piece of makeup but i have just been for a trial hair and makeup sesh for my upcoming wedding. thrilled with the result, but now im home and realise ive got to get this slap off my face for work tomorrow. soap and water just hasnt done the job. and obviously, as i dont own makeup I dont own makeup remover either! anyone got any tips?
yes, thats defo better, and kinder on my skin too. if i do it again in the morning i reckon it will be fine. i will have to invest in something for after the big day.... any recommendations? kind to your skin (i get excema), but quite cheap as i will probably never use it again!
hi mandimoo,
i use johnsons 3 in 1 facial wipes for sensitive skin (the pale blue packet) to remove my makeup at the end of the day and theyre great, they get every bit off and are gentle on the skin.
afterwards i smother my face in moisturising cream, like now, my face is white with it lol, and it feels blummin luvvly!! lol.
The baby wipes might be gentler than the normal Simple wipes though, unless it was the baby ones you were talking about.
All mandi can do is try and see what suits her skin the best.
I too am prone to facial ezcema.....so I use E45 emolliant wash -it really softens eye makeup. I then use Simple Regeneration Facial wipes to remove the excess. I never use babywipes on my skin...they triggered off an attack a number of years ago...and made the skin around my eyes super-sensitive.
You can also try aqueous cream...the cheapest!
As pastafreak and 4getmenot have suggested use aqueous cream, I always wash with it as I have psoriasis and although I don't wear make up usually when I do it will remove it.
