MM Links August 2012 – week 3
Greetings, here is Queen Hatshepsut welcoming you to the third episode of brain-teasing tantalization – pitting your brain against someone who lived some thousands of years ago might present some problems but there might also be some similarities too.
Although I’ve yet to find any mention, I’m sure Queen Hatty had her favourite animals – I know she worshiped the cat god Bast at the appropriate times of the year – well I don’t take it that far, but animals have always featured considerably in my life.
The menagerie is somewhat depleted now – just three dogs – and I do miss my cats, but Mr S has threatened to leave if another cat enters the household – we’ll see about that !!
Very happy to see though, that ex-greyhounds have made quite an impact as pets – we had the joy of owning one of these gentle souls some years ago - and there’s a timely article in our weekend magazine this week about their benefits as the resident dog in nursing homes – the old man cradling the dog’s head while it looks up at him trustingly on the cover is quite beautiful – pity I can’t scan it for you, but you get the general idea.
No prizes for guessing this week’s theme is animals – but you’ll have to wait and see just what.
