Er, I think rojash also welcomes these changes, as will all consumers.
Another way of asking the question is:
Why is it that the EU, that only meddle with our lives, are actually doing better work at protecting us consumers, than the people we have elected to represent us?

lol, what a waste of time. Credit card companies charge other companies for processing payment.
If it costs the airlines then they have to cover that in the prices you pay for a ticket. So now everyone has to pay a share even if they use cash, wonderful.
What about small businesses that really get hurt by a 5% fee? Yet again the big corporate lobbyists get the EU to help drive out competition.
Just like Westminster and Washington, Brussels is awash with big business cash.
Thats a bit of a flippant answer of mine, actually. To qualify it: If Billy is objecting to the measures purely because of hostility toward the EU, then yes. If they are objecting for some other reason, then obviously no. I could not fathom Billys objection though - tl;dr.
BillyBB, airlines won't be stopped from imposing credit card surcharges - they'll just have to tell you at the start instead of at the end, so you know all along what the cost will be. Sounds good to me. The vile Eurosuperstate has its uses.
