I was driving down the motorway today when a song i love came on so I turned it up, glanced down and saw my speed had crept up.

Why do we do this?

Think I heard some were it had been proven that if you listen to classical music in the car your driving would be at a calmer pace.

Me too MrsO. And I know this is awful and immature, but there is something satisfying about having your grown up children asking you to slow down and turn down the music whilst gripping the seat with white knuckles. Payback time perhaps?
Gness, that is so true. It was only the other day my kids were complaining their ears were bleeding. The moaning sods can walk next time.
I remember many years ago when Neil Kinnock had a bad car accident, he was listening to classical music, and it was said that classical music can make you too relaxed and therefore not alert when you are driving. I guess it depends on what you are listening to!
Thanks Boxy. I can now tell my kids I`m hyper alert!
