Do you text alot?

I can't be bothered, I refuse to use the text speak abbreviations and tend to want to send long perfectly spelt and punctuated messages which take ages to tap out and so I much prefer ringing. have you seen the way some of these kids can type a text message? It's ridiculously fast BUT, huh, they can't spell for toffee

I have a bit of a 'thing' about talking to people of the phone. it's something i've had difficulty with for years so texting has been a godsend for me and i text people all the time.

Texting is a good way to overcome your inhibitions, and tell someone all the naughty things you are going to do to them when you see them.

I don't txt a lot but My sister in law used to pass her phone to my Brother because she didn't understand what I was on about, I don't mean txt speak it was that mine could easily have being hieroglyphics and not just jargon.

I don't want to text or speak on the phone particularly, I'm sociable like that. When I text I write properly. But it means nothing really; one of my terribly well educated and well spoken consultants sends me texts that would be mistaken for a teenager. As long as I understand it I don't actually mind really, although I go to great lengths to rip the p out of baby sister for doing it, mind you, I think she goes to great lengths to make her texts indecipherable.

I don't like to see it on here though admittedly, I do think that's a bit sloppy.

I send about 3 texts per month on average and don't use text speak. My son refuses to use text speak as well, and told me on one occasion for putting 'u' instead of 'you'.

I hate text 'speak' and always text my messages out in full.

Lo Jayne, I never do it as it would be my worst nightmare to send it to the wrong person. Not worth the risk.

Yes Jayne, and they aren't chatty either, just necessary. If I want to chat then I prefer the phone or face to face. I only use my mobile if it is essenial to contact someone. To be honest, I haven't seen it for about a week. It's not something that is important to me.

I don't sext talk either, it's bad enough when I send a randy joke. I sent one
to a female friend (so I thought) and mini~me said that her partner asked
why was I interested in how big his old man was!!

Yes I txt a lot, especially when I need to get a message to somebody and I dont want to interrupt them with a phone call.

I wouldnt be without my mobile phone, I use it more as a camera or a mobile photo album (thats why I got the biggest mobile phone on the market) or I use it as a computer for internet, checking the weather etc.
