Old sweets- spanish gold

I was out shopping and came across an old sweet shop selling spanish gold!?

I remember folk on here reminiscing so i bought a few quids worth LOL happy to send you some if youd like (its before my time!!)

Just remembered some of you really wanting some xxx

I think I mentioned this on an earlier thread about Spanish Gold.
I was asked to make a birthday cake for a gay male friend. The cake was in the shape of his, ahem, private anatomy. He is ginger and strands of Spanish Gold made brilliant pubes for the cake.

It was a swiss roll with a bun at one end and two buns at the other end, covered in pale pink icing

Did you use Blue icing for the veins, mrs overowl ?

tony, no! I just wanted to give a hint of the shape of the veins, not produce something that was anatomically correct
