Lakeland also have a good website. You could also make simple little sponge cakes (fairy cakes etc) and decorate them in an orange icing and use bits of licorice or something dark to make Halloween faces on them or use a black icing and draw spider web patterns on top of orange icing. As for Christmas recipes, can you post sometime around Halloween asking for Christmas recipes? By then I'll be thinking about Christmas and have my recipe books to hand.
Going to sun, nungate, but not for several weeks yet.....
We have cut back a good deal on Christmas in past years (by agreement with our ever expanding family) so we don't buy many presents at all now. I still have enough cards left over from previous years that I won't need to buy any this year.... and sorry collette, I don't bake so I can't offer you any recipes for either season!

for halloween make a simple victoria sponge cake but colour the sponge green. sandwich together with seedless raspberry jam. using melted chocolate dribbled from the end of a metal spoon create a spider's web on top of the cake. use big marshmallows, not the little ones you can get, and attach 8 short liquorice strands (I usually use liquorice wheels and cut them up and eat the sweet in the middle as cook's perks) to the bottom of each marshmallow with melted chocolate and place each one somewhere on the web. dribble some more chocolate on top of the marshmallows to represent eyes and a smiley mouth.
our children and now our grandchildren think this is a fab cake.
