Hardly. The girls are from the 'London' part of Essex, near the capital, places such as Brentwood and Gants Hill, not the far greater part which is not 'Londony' at all. They are indistinguishable from many girls to be found in London proper. The far greater part of Essex is rural, with only small towns and villages. The antics in TOWIE would be hard to find in Thaxted, Saffron Walden or Manningtree, as would women of the type in the programme.
