The previous world record highest gate for any club in the fourth tier of football anywhere came at Crystal Palace v Milwall in 1960 and was just over 37,000. Today Rangers drew just under 50,000, more than Septic got for their season opener when they had the league flag presented to them in front of the Libon Lions and other invited guests.

who cares ? well done to the sevco for such a great crowd !!! the average attendance for non old firm matches this weekend is up again on last season, well done to the new club though, they won their 1st ever league match, impressive stuff

the crowd for the Rangers game was more than the total for all 5 SPL games - 49,118 v 40,383

It is Rangers, and always will be; perhaps you missed the similarity in the stadium? The cheats and crooks you refer to are Murray and Whyte, hardly the fault of Rangers fans? Incidentally, Celtic also used EBT's, and I'll bet others did too. Until the courts actually rule on these then comment is superfluous.

As for the crowds not coming out later in the year, I wish the SPL clubs could get them out in the first place.

Celtic changed their company name not that many years ago too - check it out.

Incidentally, the knowledgeable can spell "to" and they also know that Rangers has a capital "R".
