Is there any realistic way to convert hot air into energy?

For example, the air in your car is too hot when you get in car due to the greenhouse effect. Is there a device that converts that hot air into useable energy?

If there was and they could harness the hot air generated here in AB they could power a small city.

But it seems so simple. If you can have a solar cell that absorbs solar energy and converts it to electrical energy, then why can't you have a 'heat cell' that absorbs heat from the air and converts it to electrical energy?

There is a solar cell to recharge your mobile phone, but that's sunlight not air.

In reference to the useable energy recycled, I thought this was a fantastic idea and really don't see why anyone complained.

You could use the heat in your car for many things:
defrosting frozen foods
drying laundry
Softening butter (need to keep and eye on it though)
cooking salmon - wrap tightly in foil after adding a drop of water, lemon juice, seasoning, leave for several hours.
