Great-Aunt. As in Great-Grandfather. ( in my opinion)
I think either is correct but great-aunt seems to be more commonly used... I've never heard grandaunt used in my family.

Well, of course I'm great, and grand for that matter. I have always used the term great-aunt, but was told recently that I was wrong and that it should be grand-aunt as the generation concerned was grand-mother and grand-father so therefore it should be grand in front of aunt. Logical I suppose.

I am an aunt to my sisters children and my mother is their grandmother
My mother is great grandmother to my sisters grand children and therefore i am a great aunt
Great aunt and grand aunt are equally correct though the latter is more or less obsolete this side of the Atlantic
