Free Wifi

I have a shop and I wish to allow customers to have Free Wifi.
I have a DrayTek Vigor 2820 Router and have enabled a second SSID (which is throttled to 200k upload and download. I have also isolated the member and the VPN so that people can't connect to each other).

What I would like to do is to automatically direct people onto our website - any ideas how to do this (preferably free and easy)

Not an answer, so apologies, but why would people in your shop want to be directed to your website?

Surely you want to tick "member" not "VPN" to isolate connecting computers.

I don't think you can auto re-direct people to your shops page.

(you are also almost certainly breaking the terms and conditions of your internet provider)

Zacs-Master - they wouldn't - it is actually the facebook fan page that I would like them to redirected to. It is a good way for us to get extra fans.

Chuck - I can't seem to find an easy way to do it without running an extra server and dedicated software. If the ISP complains, I will take it off :)

Are you implying that directing someone onto a website makes it not free or are you querying why I would want to give customers free wifi

I am not quite sure why the hoo-hah. It is perfectly normal for a place offering free wi-fi to have a pre-selected homepage. Sorry but I don't know how it is done though.

Basically, you need the proper gear to do it, I've done it before with a MikroTik routerboard in hotspot mode with a custom advertising page.

I know nothing about the technicalities of how you do or do not achieve this - but my local pub which is part of a larger group now offers free wifi via 02. The group has obviously signed up with 02 free wifi and when I am in the pub it defaults to the pub groups home page - which sounds similar to what you are wanting to do. I presume though that the cost for this would outweigh the benefits if you are a "standalone" shop.
