This afternoon's play is about members of an online forum who find that due to a software glitch instead of their usernames their real names are appearing against their posts.
My dream as an ABer
Became a passion in my long-lost youth
To search for my AB identity
And search for some bizarre truth
I differentiated myself from every other AB mortal
I differentiated myself for a subtle unknown cause
To be amongst all of them
And to prevent my identity loss
The great that I tried to achieve
Doesn’t seem to be any more
Or probably it wasn’t great enough
For my conscience to be sure
I was probably the highly competitive
In an effort to establish my superiority
I’m still to reach that elevated position
To re-establish my AB mistaken identity
I would stand nowhere
If they all fall in my shoes
My identity is mistaken for nothing
the fault of Ed's tech team? Those who?
Not a biggie.
Although I have usernames and therefore anonymity, I don't think that gives me licence to lie, harass or be plain frightful. So bring on the Veracity Virus!
