A1 (M) Junc 9

I shall be travelling along the M25 exiting at Junc 23 onto the A1 M up to Junc 9 where I shall exit heading for Meldreth. Can anyone supply a Post Code for something on Junc 9 for me to use on my Sat Nav as a via point. I have used the South Minns Sevice station Post Code for Junc 23 on the M25 as a via point. I use these via points in case the Sat Nav wants me to use another route and keeps on trying to divert me. Thanks for any help.

SG6 2UA is adjacent to Jct 9 and possibly the closest Postcode but is the wrong side of the A1(M) when travelling on to Meldreth.

Just use the actual junction 9 on the A1(M) as the way point, a sat nav doesn't need an actual place to navigate to, just a point of road on its map will do.

Thanks for the replies . Have tried putting in Junc 9 etc but could not identify it. We have a Garmin.

There's nothing around there that has a post code.

You can buy a road map for £1.99 and you can plan your route in advance. You can check and visualise this by using Google Maps and Google Earth.

Coming north on A1(m), J9 is the first one signposted for Royston/Letchworth.
Off the slip road and all the way round the roundabout and head for Royston.

One mile before Junction 9 there is a large blue sign that says 'Junction 9, 1 mile'. There's another one at the half-mile point. These are remarkably handy for ensuring that one turns off at the right junction and they have the added benefit of avoiding having to scratch around trying to find a post-code for the junctions that don't have one.
I believe these signs have existed since way before the invention of the microprocessor, let alone the satnav, and can therefore be relied upon absolutely.
