There is a nip of autumn in the air. I know that because a cloud of crane-flies rises from the dewy grass as I walk out each morning. Well, I like to think it is dew but these days it is much more likely to be rain. Will it ever stop?
Whatever the weather, it is a new month and that means the scorecards are reset for both the Km and MM versions of the weekly Links Games.
Last month, the MM game was won by OwlLady but she is going away and will be missing for three weekends in September. I was therefore left in a panic. The second player, fordward used an email address four and a half years ago that proved to have expired by now and I was left without a setter.
Not to worry, a little sleuthing helped be regain contact and I am glad to say you can all look forward to fordward setting the challenges throughout September but for various reasons, it will be myself who will post them.
You can play the game tomorrow morning in Q & P. Look out for an introduction at 8:45 and the challenge itself will follow on the same thread at 9am sharp.
The game closes at 7pm Sunday.
There is another version of the game run by Seekeerz in Australia. That is the KM links game based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crosswords. Also starts in Q & P early on Saturday morning. Play any time before midnight on Sunday.
Anybody can play in either, or both games. New players welcome.
Why not have a go tomorrow? Great fun for all the family.
Until then,
Happy Linking

Good evening Pauline.
Have been watching Chelsea get a thrashing from Athletico Madrid.
Agree with your comments about the weather, I suppose summer is over now, not that we had much of one.
Oh well, back to the football, will catch up with you later and hope to see more people in the shrubbery.
I think the Paralympics are fantastic. They have so much spirit and drive. I watch things like that and I promise not to maon again about anything....but I do. :-((
Yes X-ray...I hope some of our old friends will pop in and help us keep warm and make plans.
Don't think we had a summer, I must have blinked and missed it!
I think Summer has passed us by this year! We may have an Indian Summer?!
Did you watch the swimming? The Chinese girl with no arms was fantastic she went like a bomb through the water.
Like you I say I will never moan again when I have my aches and pains!!
We are off to a wedding tomorrow so lets hope it stays fine.
Wettest summer in over a 100 years they say
Not that old (!) but do agree in terms of my life so far.
One of the longer Who tracks - ignore until about 1 minute in (visuals the ghastly mix)
Good evening all. Lovely sunny day today in Kent, although a bit chilly on the golf course this morning.
I always watch and admire the Paralympians, having nearly lost a leg 48 years ago in a motorbuke accident. It's a shame that the Americans are only showing 5 1/2 hours of the 11 days action !
I was encouraged to see some young people being interviewed tonight in the village and saying how amazing they thought the athletes were. The more evveryone is integrated into society with events like this, the more tolerant and accepting people will be, hopefully.
I for one do not class these athletes as 'disabled'. They are far more able than a lot of us.
