don't they all do that?
That's called the "Travelling Salesman problem" (google for it), and it's been shown to be "NP-complete" (which is difficult to explain, but loosely means that it's as hard to solve as any problem can possibly get).
on mine you can put in a "go from x then y via c"
But the OP wants the prat nav to work out the optimum order to do the drops in ... much more difficult

thanks guys , BEDNOBS yes my current satnav can do A to B via C D E etc but it cannot work out the optimum route for time and fuel economy , i have a pc programme that can but it means transfering all data from pc manually which is what i am trying to cut out , but thanks to all of you (3) who responded .
Most high end Garmins offer route optimisation for multiple vias. (BTW Bert, the TSP can be fairly well solved on modern sat-navs due to increases in processing power on the devices which allows them to use the branch and bound method without having to wait days for them to calculate)

Although personally I can't see what's wrong with just sitting down with a copy of a map, dabbing all the drops onto it and working it out yourself. It how I used to do it and it only takes 20min at the beginning of the day.
