Squaddies Interogated: Where's The Justice?

Many of our armed forces whose lives are literally put on the line in places like Iraq, Afghanistan etc, are to be interrogated in a perverse quest to try to incriminate them, and subsequently also prosecute them, for any perceived 'war crimes' during their tours of duty.

Yes, of course there are 'rules of engagement' etc, but are the authorities just as keen to pursue those who kill our brave service personnel? I think not, so why should it work in reverse?

This is typical of our British sense of justice - take the easy way out.

Just another example of where our politicians care more for foreign nationals than it's own peoples.

We will see the already mega rich lawyers, getting even more richer, not to mention the costs of the inquiries, the legal aid granted and the consequential compensation pay outs.

That is really inhumane, some of our troops face such inhumanities on a regular basis, they have no one to defend their corner.

If they are innocent they have nothing to worry about.

If they are guilty of war crimes then they deserve everything they get because they shame us all. A uniform is no protection if they have broken the law.

Apparently some incriminating evidence was revealed at inquiries into certain incidents during our invasion and occupation of Iraq. If there is sufficiently strong evidence to prove the allegations, then prosecutions should proceed and the bad apples removed from our forces. It is they that set the local population against us and make the job of decent soldiers more difficult and deadly.

But I would much rather the Brotish rather than anyone else held Blair to account. For lying to us all and parliament about the reason for the whole disastrous adventure.

the problem with that argument is he won't stand trial here, not ever.
