Not "today" but since the transfer window opened.
And why is it obscene?
One club sells a player for 20 million and then buys another player for 20 million. Most of it is just the same money going round and round.
It would be a bit like you giving a friend 100 pounds, then they giving it to another friend, and that friend giving it back to you.
You might say "we have spent £300 between us today" but in fact you have spent nothing.

I'm not complaining VHG
Clubs such as ours should be praised for being run correctly amongst the madness.
We may well ultimately get relegated but at least we are run as a proper business and not a rich mans play thing.
The money some clubs spend is obscene and at the moment we are laughing at them.

If club A buys someone for £12 million from club B, who buy someone from club C for £12 million and club C then buy someone from club A for £12 million that seems to add up to £36,000,000 of premiership spending but really it has cost nothing other than agents' fees/signing on fees.
Does anyone know what the net expenditure figure is for the Premiership? I suspect it is quite high though owing to transfers in from abroad.
