Right...we have 2 shops one across from the other.
Today one of my colleagues says I'm meant to be in today but he's swapped me for tomorrow I'm away up town now that (me) arrived - boss likes 2 in each shop but there could have been 3 in one and 2 in the other.
Now...we were to take the sale off today in both shops - Monday is cleaning day colleague knew this, she knew what had to be put away and everything. We all dropped hints she should stay but no she said she wasn't meant to be in and was leaving, in the end there was 3 in one shop and 1 in the other.
If this was you what would you have done?

I was running late but instead of sticking about to help out as there was so much to be done she chose to be selfish and trot off up town. Had it been me and not needing to be in until the next day I still would have stuck about to help get everything done and not leave one person on their own in the other shop, with all sale stock, customers and such to be dealt with.
What I wanted to know was if this was you and you knew the things that had to be done on this day and seen how much work and time it would entail would you have gone away or would you have stayed for a few hours to lend a hand.

I get it queen but here's my question. If she had stayed and not turned up tomorrow, how would your shops have been staffed then? Or would you have expected her to work an extra day with no notice and without asking?
As for me? I would stay in my current job because they treat me nicely and fairly and like an intelligent adult, but my last job could have kissed my jacksy as it flounced out of there.

well to be honest she's always claiming to be skint so why not jump at the chance of a few hours extra? If she hadn't turned up tomorrow then there is the slight possibility that someone else would be asked to go in and do a shift. Thing is she is forever changing/swapping shifts asking to get away early to get the bus to her caravan and its getting a wee bit out of hand, quite a few of the girls I work with have really had enough. I'm staying put for now as not sure what the future holds for me. But chin up I guess :)
