I would think the proceeds of previous crimes would keep them very comfortable.
Do we know whether they have been involved in previous crimes, McMouse?

You're right factor30, I confused this case with the one about the "Most wanted list of criminals living abroad".
you can pretty much stroll across the border these days. But Asil Nadir was safe there for years. Don't know why he bothered coming back.
I think Turkey may have been putting pressure on him to leave as he was seen as a possible block to Turkey joining the EU.

EXPATRIATE....It's a legitimate word toes, it applies to any person living in a country other than the one they were brought up in either temporarily or full time..nothing wrong with it.
Correct: from the Latin ex patria - outside the homeland. Another word might be emigrants, but not immigrants, from a British point of view.
