L'Oreal are certainly not unique in their advertising approach, but are certainly successful. If nothing else they've got you spreading their message to a wider audience.
Just a quick dig in the memory reminds me of triple action window cleaner, razor blades, deodorant and toothbrushes.

sorry, did i not make myself clear.. the Q. is not about the product, [that i haven't tried] it is about dumbing down, i.e. treating us like we're stupid. Excellence cream? cor, you'd need that.. spread it around, i admire their cheek, or i despair of people for taking this daily demeaning drivel and Not complaining, they'll be telling us next that it's got exotic botanicals in it and dihydogen monoxide (water).
If it is any consolation, I know exactly what you mean! I am sick of advertising assuming that we consumers are dense. I recently complained to a large supermarket about their latest campaign and I don't think I was alone as the advert has been pulled since. After all, strawberries imported from the USA can't possibly reach the store within a day of leaving the field.....can they???

Lighten up folks. There's a whole world full of people who can't get enough advertisers cr@p. You only have to look at this sites Adverts NEW category on a daily basis.
You should treat it as you would an AB question or answer that you don't like. Just ignore it.
That, of course, won't make it any better or even go away, but it will leave it for all those people who get a high from adverts.
