Hi. I have a Charlie Bears Luke and I'm not sure what he's worth or how much to sell him for. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. TIA.

Sorry, can't answer your question but thanks for bringing this to my attention. They have bears named after all of my children (even the one with a slightly unusual name), may have to make it my 'hobby' to try and find all five of the ones I need. Good luck getting your question answered.
Look on eBay or the Charlie bears website. They ate lovely bears but not like stiff and I don't think even the retired ones sell for mega bucks though.
Arghhh spell checker steiff I meant and are.
Boyd's do some lovely ones too Sher - got one for each of my great nephews and nieces - and they have quite unusual names.

amaham - ebay don't have any of that particular one for sale at the moment - going rate for normal ones seems about the £30 mark but some seem to be in the £100s - I guess they are the more exclusive ones but I don't know if yours comes into that category or not.
Thanks for that Annie, just had a look but I don't like bears with clothes on (I have no idea why).
Can I ask what does Luke look like?
oooh naked bears!!!
Bare bears even.
lol, They don't all have clothes - I think the ones for the boys just had ribbons - and in one case just a bell but the one for my great niece was all dressed up. In fact the one for the youngest arrival was actually a cat rather than a bear.....when the baby was called Emerson they are bloomin' lucky I found one at all!!!
I have had a look around...the news is not good. Luke is no longer made but he wasn't an expensive bear or limited edition or from their first year of trading and is not mohair but synthetic. If you find a collector who is after that particular bear then you might get a decent price but he's not going to make your fortune IMO. Is he mint with bag, tags and poem?

Hi everyone and thanks for your responses. I've just been advised that he launched in February 2007 and retired in September 2008. He was designed by Isabelle Lee so am sure he'll be worth much more than his original price. If anyone's interested. let me know! Thank you xx

He is mint with a bag but no tags as that is how I got him!
Haven't got a child named Luke - sorry.
could you be talked into number 6 sher? ;o)
Far too old, plus I am not keen on the name Luke (sorry to any Luke's).

If anyone's thinking of naming their newborn son Luke, I gotta bear here just waitiing for him lol!
lol. me too.
Charlie bears have launched and discontinued a LOT of bears. Sadly retired is just a polite way of saying discontinued lol. If he has no tags and no poem then to a collector he's not mint and the value goes down accordingly....sorry to rain on your parade but, as a bear collector myself, I would say don't ge your hopes up.
not sure to be honest, they only sell for about £30 my name's luke and i'd hapily take him off your hands
