I want to fit a door curtain to an inward opening door. Any tips would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Is it an entrance door from outside?

If so split the curtain and draw the two halves apart to use the door. With a good overlap it should be as draughtproof as a single.

thank you for the answer seadogg but there wouldn't be enough room each side of the door when the curtain was opened - the latch is almost against the wall (but great tip, hadn't thought of that - thank you)
The builder - have checked these and no, they aren't too good and I know I could easily replace them but there is also a single window part to the door and I thought a curtain was the best option.

I guess the only thing to do is to screw the curtain rail to the top of the door, but have it stick out each side to cover the junction between the door and the frame.
That way, the curtain needn't be pulled aside at all.

thanks The Builder - have looked at what needs to be done and agree with you - just have to make sure the curtain rod doesn't overlap the hinged side of the door cos it won't open other wise. Thank you

I have used them in the past and they allow you to drape a curtain across the door, and then to slide it away and across the wall behind the door. Can be wall or ceiling mounted.
