Hey does anyone know how to get a couple of week old red wine stain out of a white carpet (eek), i tried a foam carpet stain remover that took it out a little but it just looks a mess!
Any home remedies or anything would be helpful!
cheers

It has been said the best way to remove a Red wine stain from anything is to apply White wine - apparently it works.
Sprinkle salt on it as it apparently draws the staining part of the wine out, old wives tale maybe - BUT IT WORKS!!!!!

The stain is actually dry so do i just sprinkle salt on and leave it on? or sprinkle salt on whilst using carpet stain remover?
cheers
Pour on white wine, leave to soak for ten minute then pour on loads of salt, it will soak up the wine and draw out the red. (plenty of salt) maybe take a couple of attempts.
