The answer depends on whether your assaults constituted moral turpitude or not - and the links posted above give some idea of the complexity of the answer.

The way to find out is to apply for a visa, which will involve a visit to the Embassy. If you get the visa, then it wasn't moral turpitude, and you can visit the US.

If you are refused then it was moral turpitude and you won't be able to visit for quite a few years.

If you read the whole link you'll find it's mentioned both as moral turpitude and not moral turpitude depending on the type of assault

I know of a case where a visa was refused because the person had a 12 year old conviction for driving without insurance ! I would say it is 99% sure that 2 convictions for assault will bar you from the USA.
