i think malpractice is if they do something wrong, i think negligence is if they ignore something that they should do

Malpractice - wrong done by deliberate decision

Negligence - wrong done my avoidable mistake, where the professional acted in a way that was below the standard of anybody with the same qualifications and expertise.
Ethel is usually right however her category one is usually followed up as battery.

Mlapractice is usually an Americanism, and is used as a sysonym there for negligence
