Take them to your local Social Services office, they will be distributed to worthy causes. Don't take them to a hospital as most won't accept them these days (difficult to clean and sterilise).

TY Daffy - was a very emotional task! Have to admit a few have been 'saved' this morning for future grandchildren!
I was the same when my children grew up sally.
Take out the stuffing....carefully open them out and sew them together..add a lining to the back.... for a really "cool",fun cot/bedcover for your future grandkids....just an idea....;-)
Where abouts are you?
Well daid Daffy. Social Services is the best place for them.

God knows some wee bairns in this world need a teddy because their parents are always drunk or out their heads in drugs.

Well done Sally !

commoner- i can think of nothing more frightening! Squashed flat teddies all in a row? It'll look like roadkill on a mass scale! Enough to give any child nightmares.
Contact MacDonalds -don't know if they have any of their McD houses over here for sick children.....they have in the States and welcome such donations - my kids have given toys in the past.
ditto, or women's aid, barnardos etc ...

hard thing to part with!
LoL..BOO...you don't have to splash the red ink all over them...that's the optional extra..Heh heh!
I've found it very difficult to find homes for soft toys - even charity shops don't want them these days. I saved a few which my grandchildren love. I use a website called Freegle where you can ask for goods and also offer goods. Do you have a similar site near you? Amazing what people want - and offer.

TY everyone for your advice - I am in Hertfordshire so am happy to drop them somewhere local. Finding it hard when I see their faces looking out asking to be saved.

Good god - I need to man up lol
In the words of one of the well known comedians..."It's just a PUPPET!"..or in your case a soft toy....;-)...yep .need to.man up, as you say!
