Possibly cabriolet. Originally known as cabriolet de place, these small 4 wheel carriages were invented in Paris in the early 1600s. The name was subsequently abbreviated to cab. They were the first "taxi cabs" as we have come to know them.
Victoria? There is certainly a Victoria Hotel in Paris and a victoria is a low, light four-wheeled carriage. (Click http://www.nottingham-horse-and-carriage-company.c

for a picture of one.) However, whether the one was named after the other may be less probable than that both were named after our dear old Queen!
