If I may.
this company a while back tried to rip me off via O2 Re/ Ring tones, they were sending 3 ring tones at a time with a total cost of £9, full total £93.75. O2 tried in every way to help me but unsuccessful, I contacted Zamano in Ireland & threatened them with Rip off Britain, & the Daily Mirror, this has taken myself & O2 a total of 4>>5 months to sort, this morning I received a cheque for a sum of £110.50, my advise to many out there that think these companys are bigger than you, let them think, if you stick by your guns you will win.

It turns out someone in the household had inadvertently signed up to something like a 'free' ring tone or 'free' entry to a lottery/competition. There probably was some sort of sign up in your case too. We managed to stop it at around £6 but it was a hassle trying to trace them. In this case texting STOPALL did work
I had a similar problem last year. I could not understand how the credit on my phone was being eaten away when I hardly ever used it. Apparently some company was charging me £2.50 per week, for which I could send 150 texts. I haven't sent 150 texts in ten years, let alone one week. It is one of the things where you are targeted by spam and if you don't opt out you are automatically opted in. This should be made illegal in my view. I did eventually manage to get it stopped.
I can assure you Factor, I always look, study, & check, these underhanded sods tried to move the goal posts by saying that I had agreed, I asked them for all documentation they have & show me where I had signed! End Of, they could not, I do not want an Orange for beating these people but I will fight my corner, I hope this might help some out there.
Two years ago when I got my iPad I took out a data only contract at £10 a month with Vodafone.
On first bill it showed I was using a premium rate text service and charged £9 extra that month.
Tried to explain it was an iPad I have and I would not send text messages .
Had a hell of a time with vodafone and iPad being quiet new they did not get it.
In the end they admitted they recycle mobile numbers and I was using someone else's old numbe and they had set up service !
Had new number allocated and it stopped.
Vodafone refused to refund so I canceled contract and went to 3 instead.
Never used them since.
