I have a Prestige copper bottomed stainless steel pan that I have just boiled dry with broccoli in it. It is now black! Any suggestions on how to clean it that don't involve elbow grease?
Thanks for any advice.
Soak over night in a solution of hot biological soap powder ie ariel or bold. i always used to clean my oven shelves like this. In the morning you just give them a quick wipe over.
Ive also heard for a burnt pan soak overnight in a solution of brine.
I am easily distracted and set fire to toasters and pots. I now buy cheap pots and when I weld something to it I can throw it out.
Paddywak - you are a coward. How long before she sussed out what you did? It's a bit like buying a new hamster to replace the one that died when you were house-sitting.
About 10 minutes but she was too tactful to say any thing for a couple of days when she the casually mentioned that while I was in town I may as well buy the rest of the set.
Just to let you all know that after leaving said pan overnight soaking in just cold water I attacked it with one of those wire wool scratchy things and it wasn't half as bad as I thought it was so job done and my pan is ready for another traumatic day in the kitchen.
