Chocolates Ad.

Has anyone seen the advert for that well known high street shop specialising in "posh" chocolates? ( I hesitate to name it in case I get lynched!) it involves a bird-presumably a turkey, and two characters both of whom look as though they have emerged from a horror story;a box of chocs is briefly flashed onto the scene and that is followed by --the demise of the pop-eyed bird-- anything less likely to encourage people to buy chocolates from them is hard to imagine.I wonder who dreams up these epic ads.?

If you mean the Thornton's ad- the turkey doesnt die.

Except the bird doesn't get the chop. That's the point of the ad - that even your worse enemy will like you if you give them a box of Thorntons. They're also plugging the BOGOF offer.

I would certainly agree tho that it's not the best ad in the world (I have annoyed my wife enough times now pointing out that if the Turkey had the means to escape into town & had enough money to buy posh chocolates for its axe-wielding owners why does it come back? Unhealthy relationship or what?!)
