Is anyone having trouble registering with the Daily Mail

I've been trying to register for Find My Past for the past two days with no luck. If you register you can gain points for credits to look into your family tree. Anyone succeeded?

I looked at all these pay sites and they are expensive. I don't want to get involved with buying credits, but then I won't be submitting my bank details to them. It's frustrating though, I can log into FMP but I can't register with the Daily Mail to get the free credits.
I've still got a few holes in my father's side of the family, it's been absolutely fascinating. I'd a relative who was a priest in 1538 who was hung drawn and quartered by order of Henry VIII. It's my latest relatives my aunts and uncles who I need to find. Next I'll look at my mother's side of the family, which has quite a common name so it may be difficult.
Just thought I'd let you know I finally got on to FMP today, they have extended the deadline to register. Having said that I found b***ger all on their BMD, Census or War Dead, even those I know have records on other sites. So maybe a waste of time.
em10 I look on Rootsweb they have old books in PDF form you can look through. I looked through a few of them for the Clergy, University scholars and Masters of Colleges. One was Headmaster of Repton School in 1672-81
