I Need A Hobby

I have never been a hobby type of person, but feel perhaps I need one - anybody got any ideas ?

Sewing, then you can make clothes.

I've done all this in the past, Rocky - made curtains etc etc, but I do like sewing.

crosswords ? start with easy ones eg Take a Break, then graduate to You crossword in Sunday Mail mag [ A/b crosswords will be a help if you get stuck] and then go on from there, cryptic xwords come later.
Patchwork ? join your local Adult college the term is just beginning lots of free courses available in the prospectus[ local library will have copies].

I used to do glass painting Den and hoping to get back into it. It's not too expensive and you can make gifts for friends and family, which I found they all liked. You can get a starter kit from a craft shop to try and see if you like it. x

Jan - I used to do glass painting when my son was small, it kept him amused for hours - there used to be a woman on QVC called Carol Smith from the US that sold those kits.

I'm just back from my counselling session - she thinks I should write my past experiences down to find some closure.

Why is life so rubbish.

Yes, my counsellor suggested the same. I tried it but just ended up in tears all the time. Have given up the counselling now as it's only me who can sort myself out.

Make your own greetings cards? A friend of mine used to make batiks. You could sell what you make on ebay. Or take up a sporty hobby?

TOWIE, iam just starting 12 weeks off to allow my poorly foot to heal, so I have decided to re-write the book I wrote 18 years ago. I wrote about my experiences in the catering industry. I found it very cathartic. I have recently discovered the original m.s. and so I think might add to it, and who knows, I might even self publish.
Good luck with yours, it might be a bestseller. You never can tell. dtc

Candle making? You could buy a kit for the basics, then add some nice perfume and decoration and give them to people for christmas.

I used to write articles for my college magazine, many moons ago.

Not sure writing about my Mum's abuse in a Care Home would be a best seller though.
