Cold you help me out , please.
Just about to get started trying to fit in some of the answers I have.

For 'F', I have forage and feather. Which one goes across and which one down?

Is that the correct way to start?
Usually I don't bother with the alphabetical ones but with your help I might be able to crack them.
Also, what has nord, sud, ouest and est got to do with it?

Thank you

When your correct grid is complete you will see "nord" on the top line, sud on the bottom line, etc.
Forage goes across towards the bottom right corner. The other f clue is futons

Thanks, roslyn. I didn't count the numbers of letters. Just jumped at feather!
Both F's have to be 6 letter words, so FORAGE would seem right but FEATHER can't be.

Fit the four French words around the edges of the grid...ie in the boxes separated by black spaces.
