did i do the right thing ignoring my ex?
8 Answers
just a quickie, i was driving down my road when i saw my ex. He was stood outside his parked vehicle. Unfortunately the traffic stopped and my car was literally facing him. I ignored him, pretending to look and see on coming traffic, i'm sure he shouted something as i drove by. Then 10 minutes later he rang me despite telling me he'd deleted my number. I ignored his call. Did i do the right thing? I don't know why, but i seem to seek validation for my actions, especially from you guys. I know i have low self esteem, and ive been to the drs today to get this addressed, and it's all positive action from here on, yet i still question myself. He's probably really p***ed off at me now, fuming infact, that i've dared to ignore him, but i can't be friends with someone who treated me so s**t.

He seems to lack depth of understanding. Like, because i didn't run after him or beg, that means i agreed with him dumping me! what he fails to see is my little girl had grown attached to him and his children (we'd just been on holiday together) and i'm having to deal with the questions 'where is he mummy, why's he not coming around' and THAT'S where my anger for him comes from. But he seems to think he can dance his way through life and nobody will dislike him.
You have to do what's right for you & if ignoring him was the right thing to do for you then don't feel guilty for it. Don't think about how he's reacting to it that's not your problem, it's his.
You're still probably pretty raw right now towards the break up & him & your feelings, I would suggest going no contact until you're in a better place to deal with it all.
