It translates loosely as "ready to eat". Also; 25 down. Clue: Instruction not on for minor (4). I have: ?E?S. Help please.

Thanks all. I well recall the coffee bars of my youth where you could purchase a coffee for 7d and stay for an hour. I avoid these new fangled coffee shops as I was asked to pay £1.20 for a load of froth which tasted of soap the last time I frequented one which was some time ago now. One probably would have to pay more than this today.
