Jo Nesbo - 'The Redbreast'

Okay...I'm halfway through 'The Redbreast' and I'm struggling.

I just don't like it, and am finding it difficult to engage in the story.

I've got all of the rest of Nesbo's books on my iPad - if I were to give up on 'The Redbreast', can anyone suggest a better book to start on?

I 'm a fairly voracious reader but had to give this one up too. I do like Camilla Lackberg, however.

Camila Lackberg is the proverbial dogs bits... As is Hakan Nesser (Inspector Van Veeteren) and Yrsa Sigurdardottir (I believe Last Rituals is the first, you will love the main character I'm sure, she's so funny). In terms of Nesbo, I don't like him and I think I said that to you before, I do own The Snowman, I don't recall it blowing my mind but equally it didn't go straight to the charity shop either so it must have had something going for it.

I started with The Redeemer - enjoyed it enough that I then read most of the others - The Redbreast is one of the weaker ones imho.
