just a wee thought - if you get the points removed keep a note of the dates of the conviction, fine or ban and conviction codes until the 5 years is up, in case insurance asks for this - it saves u time!
If the automatic three points for a single speeding offence is all you have, then it makes virtually no difference to your insurance premiums anyway (unless you are under 25).
speeding convictions stay on your licence for 4 years, but they can be removed after that period for around £25. Insurers will ask for any driving convictions for the last 5 years and also any claims. Some insurers will ask for non-driving convictions that are not spent under the rehabilitation of offenders act!
