is that what they mean by a frozen shoulder?

Hey dot, is that sheldon in your avatar ? sorry to go of subject, echokilo.
it's not in the roommate agreement that i answer that
Not Impingement but I have had rotator cuff injury. Weeks and weeks of pain and broken nights. tablets never really helped. A second cortisone injection (put in the right place that time) was a miracle cure.
LOL @ dot, you just have.
My mum had that kind of problem in both shoulders and had injections and then surgery and they have been fine since. She had some arthritis in them too and they caused carpal tunnel issues. I'm sure something about decompression to do with the surgery.
that sounds like the thing they describe in the link i've added jenna, i've been putting up with a bad shoulder/neck for decades now as i just thought it would be an injury from a fall from my horse back in 1973, but maybe it is something i could get treatment for.
I had this - had the decompression operation in 1995, which wasn't too bad but it took 3 months of physio afterwards to get it right. They told me I would be lucky to get 85% movement back in my shoulder but I was determined, and did my exercises every day and I am fully recovered and can lift my arm and got 100% movement back :)
My husband had exactly this condition, rotator cuff injury. He also had some kind of arthritis combined with the injury. He was given strong painkillers ( which made him sleepy and lethargic ) for months before he was put on the waiting list for surgery. He already had another operation for the other shoulder 4 years previously via the traditional route. This time he had it done via micro surgery, miles better, hardly any scars, very fast recovery BUT he was VERY BRUISED this time indeed.

This is not the same as frozen shoulder - in fact this impingement syndrome can lead to adhesive capsulitis which is frozen shoulder - this happens when the patient is reluctant to use the shoulder and then so the tendons stick in the wrong position and movement is lost
