Look at the results just posted on the BBC. Click on the link. Good innit?

City won 2-1. Liverpool won 5-2 and Reading drew 2-2. Who's getting paid for this rubbish?

Yes- they seem to have slipped up

It's because the feed they get from the Press Association failed around half time. It was the same with the vidiprinter feed on Sky - it comes from the same place.

You surely didn't think that they have someone sat typing in all the scores as they come in, it's all updated automatically from the data they get from sources such as PA, as mentioned above. So if that data source goes down they their results display is scuppered.

Who's getting paid for this rubbish? suggested that you might think that.
I never thought that either- I assumed they'd lost some sort of feed , but couldn't see why they displayed them as final scores and updated the league table with them- I thought they'd have put a message on about the problem
17:28 and its still wrong. Hope not too many people have thrown away winning betting slips......
Oddly, I saw one page on the BBC website during the second half which had Liverpool winning 5-1 while a different page had 2-0. Naturally I dismissed the former as rubbish!
Sky aren't so hot either as I often see scores on the printer showing 2-1 while the ticker tape above doesn't reflect the latest goal scored and will still show 1-1 or 2-0, as the case may be, for some time.
