Looking at these covers sparked so many memories for me, I had (from memory)

Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty
The Little Red Hen
Beauty and the Beast
Sly Fox
Repunzel.

Wish I still had them!

The daughter was born in 1970 and I don't remember her having any of these................was she deprived?

Yes I remember them all too. Going back a few years more, does anyone remember the Ladybird "Baby's First Book" with the simple format of one or two words and a picture per page such as banana, comb and brush, mittens and toothbrush?

Oh wow, I had all of them. If I remember rightly I posted a question on AB a few years ago asking about them. I don't know what happened to mine but I'd like to get them.

I am 72 and the little Red Hen has always been my favourite tale, I started to read with that in infant school, I've read it over and over to different children and grandchildren, whenever anyone says they can't do something I've asked I just reply' "Then I shall eat iy myself" said the Little Red Hen.'
