Here is a salutory lesson for the Self-Rigteous Brothers who think it's perfectly OK for hot-headed gun-owning householders to take potshots at intruders.

lol duncer... but i have read of it happening ... its the perfect murder in a way = they invite an enemy round in teh guise of wanting to sort the problem out ... then kill them but claim the man had broken in with the intent of hurting them... the person then gets away with it ... as they have histoty an many can back up the claim of animosity etc

point is, allowing people to kill intruders opens doors to other stuff

One thing's certain. The government says that it will review the law and revise it to ensure householders' rights are clear etc etc and it will end up changing nothing because the common law on this is common sense, has served us well for centuries, and there's nothing to change. Unless, of course, it is changed to allow us to kill annoying visitors we don't like. Might support that.
