Tried to make up with someone who you MAY HAVE OFFENDED!! but can not seem to get any where? what do you do? say fck it & play the person at their own game or grovel?
It seems I've offended some of my friends as they don't talk to me anymore. Good ridance actually. One of them is a bully and the other is always miserable. So, no, I don't want them back as friends.
I never offended the person to her face, but when I tried to apologize she just cut me off mid-flow. My attitude was `I've done all I could. The fact that she didn't want to hear it is her problem' It blew over quite quickly and we were good friends after that. I wouldn't grovel though.
When I was at primary school, I had a dispute with a friend who lived next door.
I sent him a Christmas card and he sent one back and we became friends again.
I don't generally offend people intentionally (unless I really don't like them), if I do, I'll say sorry, if they don't let me then they can bore off to be honest.
I wouldnt grovel, just be upfront and if you have done wrong hold your hands up and apologise but make it geniuine and sincere. What happens after that is anyones guess, but you would have done your bit and made the first move/effort.
Thanks Just-Jude, I've knew the one who is bullyish since we were 16 and everything is either her way or the high way. She questions everything and is always moaning about one thing or another.
The miserable one always feels hard done by and is always feeling sorry for herself.
They were the ones that stopped talking to me anyway, so it wasn't me that broke off the friendship. However, I have definitely moved on and feel a lot happier without them tying me down.
