Please can someone help? I have been trying to print off some address labels at work, from Word. When I preview them they are all ok. but when I come to print them off the top 3 or 4 labels are great then the rest of them all get moved up so by the time you get to the bottom only part of the address is on the label! I have tried everything to try and get it right and I have got hundreds to do within the next week (school reports!) so I would really appreciated some advice. The labels are Avery size L7164 - 14 on a A4 sheet.
Try making your own templates on MS, Publisher, it takes time, but you can save them to use later. I have made templates for all sizes of labels. You can get sticky labels from Staples, and some have a template you can copy.
MarkRae - Just had a look at down loading the Avery Wizard but might not be able to when I'm at work (I work in a school and cant download anything!) Would you recommend it?
I purchased some from ASDA Multi-purpose ink jet labels 21 labels per sheet size 63X38mm
They include these instructions.
For a pre-prepared label template go to :http://www.hovat.co.uk/services/labels/temp.
htm.
Having selected your appropriate version of office, open the .zip folder and select: APB-424.
Open Ms Word.
Click on Tools tab, then Letters and Mailings, and then Envelope and Labels.
..
In the Envelope & Labels window which appears click on the Labels tab, then click on Options.
Within the Label Options window click on New Label. The information for the new label needs to be entered as seen below. Click OK.
Now back in the label options window click OK to take you back to the Envelopes & labels window. Click on New Document.
The document is now ready to personalise your labels as required.
When printing remember to amend the paper type settings to labels (or closest equivalent), within your print set-up.
When loading labels into your printer, for top-loading printers the printed side faces up, and in bottom-loading printers the printed side faces down. For enhanced print-ability use your printers manual feed tray.
For optimal print results refer to your printer's user manual.
And . . . . . Thank you 'anotheoldgit' - Had visitors yesterday evening and I've only just got in from work although I dont really know why I have to explain myself to you
